Holy Heroes Advent Adventure – Day 9

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary is a human person, just like the rest of us, except that she was protected at her conception from Original Sin as a special gift from God. We need Sanctifying Grace through Baptism to remove the Original Sin in order to go to Heaven to be with God forever. Since Mary was given the special gift of being protected from Original Sin, she received Sanctifying Grace at her conception.
